The parish community of Holy Cross Church, Cordel, came together in faith and fellowship to celebrate the Solemn Holy Mass and Evening Vespers on September 13, 2025. The celebration was marked by deep devotion, vibrant participation, and a profound sense of unity among the faithful.
The Solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Ivan Peter Cordeiro, while Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Clifford Fernandes delivered an inspiring and meaningful homily centered on the power and glory of the Cross, reminding the faithful of its redemptive significance in Christian life.
Following the Holy Mass, the Blessed Sacrament was reverently exposed for adoration, leading into the Evening Vespers. The prayer service was led by Rev. Fr. Flavian Lobo, with Rev. Fr. Vijay and Rev. Fr. Denzil guiding the singing of psalms. The melodious voices of the parish choir, accompanied by the participation of ward members, elevated the spiritual atmosphere, creating a truly prayerful and contemplative experience.
A large number of parishioners took part in the celebration with heartfelt devotion, joining together in prayer and song to honor the Holy Cross, the symbol of God’s love and victory.
The evening concluded with a festive community gathering at the church premises. Parishioners enjoyed moments of joy and togetherness through fun games, delicious food, refreshing juice, and ice cream. The event was beautifully organized, fostering a spirit of unity, fellowship, and gratitude, and leaving everyone with cherished memories of faith and joy shared as one family in Christ.
