Altar Servers Badge Ceremony

The Altar Servers’ Badge Ceremony commenced with the celebration of the Holy Mass at 9:30 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Clifford Fernandes as the main celebrant. All the altar servers actively participated in the ceremony, during which six new members received their badges and took their oath with great devotion.

The children were trained and prepared by Dn. Denzil Rodrigues and Fr. Vijay Monteiro. The event was graced by the presence of Sr. Reena, Mathilda Ma’am, Gladys Ma’am, and two Brothers from the seminary, who witnessed this special occasion.

After the Eucharistic celebration, a group photograph was taken to mark the memorable day. The ceremony served as an inspiration for ñmany other children to join the Altar Servers’ Association and dedicate themselves to serving at the Altar.

Singing Competition for Altar Servers

A singing competition for the Altar Servers was held on 8th November 2025 at 3.30 p.m. in the Cordel Mini Hall. Fr. Vijay Monteiro, Dn. Denzil Rodrigues, Sr. Reena BS, Mrs. Mathilda, and Mrs. Gladys were present for the meeting and briefed the participants about the rules and regulations of the competition.

The competition was judged by Sr. Verity, Superior of the RMI Convent, and Sr. Ann Emilia BS from the Sacred Heart Convent. The children sang various hymns in honour of Mother Mary with great devotion and creativity, using beautiful props to enhance their performances.

The main purpose of this competition was to instill love and devotion towards Mother Mary in the hearts of the young Altar Servers. All the participants performed enthusiastically, making the evening a truly memorable and grace-filled event.
